The Wisconsin Chapter of the APDA was founded in September 2005 "to ease the burden, to find the cure."

WHAT WE DO:
* Provide services to the Parkinson's community
* Organize seminars to educate people about the disease
* Raise public awareness about Parkinson's disease
* Provide support groups for people with PD and caregivers
* Raise money to help support all our activities
* Raise money for national APDA research

WHY WE DO IT:
* Opportunity to be part of a strong local organization with Parkinson's disease and the Wisconsin PD community as a priority
* Opportunity to meet others with PD and their families and friends
* Opportunity to be involved in and provide input into APDA chapter events and activities
* Monthly board meetings provide the opportunity to be part of the decision making
