Chapter Mission

The Wisconsin Chapter of the APDA is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization committed
to raising public awareness of Parkinson's disease from a research and treatment perspective. 
We are dedicated to easing the burden on Parkinson's patients, families, and caregivers. 
 

The chapter provides assistance to affiliated support groups within it'sassigned territory. 
This support includes, but is not limited to:
            * Recruiting new members
            * Publicizing chapter goals
            * Supporting fund raising and other chapter activities
            * Conducting educational meetings and symposiums
            * Supporting the Wisconsin APDA Information and Referral Center

2008 Appleton Walk-a-Thon
Come join us for the second Annual Parkinson's Disease Walk-a-Thon in Appleton at
City Center Plaza on October 4, 2008.  Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with the walk
starting at 11 a.m.  Please click here for a registration form.

 

New Young Onset Support Group of the Valley
Finally, a Young Onset support group will meet in the Valley.  The first meeting is scheduled
for September 20, 2008, at noon.  Thereafter, all meetings will take place the third Saturday
of the month at noon.  The meetings will be heldat the Neuro Spine Center of Wisconsin,
5320 West Michaels Drive, Appleton.  Please contact Vera Ramacitti at 715/258-9829 to RSVP
for the September lunch.

 

Coming in the Fall of 2008
Wisconsin Public Television will air "A Report on Parkinson's Disease" as a one-hour Frontline
program that will be broadcast and viewable online in Fall 2008.  Check it out at:
