Caregiver Support

Caring for a loved one with Parkinson disease can be very challenging, but also very rewarding. There are several resources that can help you along your journey.

Respite Care Program

The APDA Wisconsin Chapter currently offers stipends of $750/a year for individuals with Parkinson disease. The main requirements are: the patient has a diagnosis of Parkinson’s, the combined annual income should not exceed $50,000 per year, and the individual living with Parkinson’s disease may not be receiving any other funded or subsidized respite care services. The stipend would be used to provide respite care for the spouse/partner/caregiver in the home. If interested, please call Jordan Mooney at (608) 345-7938 to inquire about an application.
